I saw Maggot Heart opening for Messa in DC and I was blown away! This was a time when you hear someone live for the first time and you know you will be hooked when you go home and check them out. They sounded as great, ferocious, and huge live as they did on this record: MASSIVE beautiful tones from all three instruments stitching together phenomenal, twisting, beguiling, serpentine dark songwriting and well-written, razor-sharp lyrics delivered with a spine-tingling intensity. Come back to DC! pinkytheent

PERFECTION is the only word. With a sound quality you rarely hear on live albums and an unbeatable setlist, this may beat Live After Death in my book as the BEST metal live album of all time. In no way does this sound like the typical reunion of a 40 year-old band. No, it's a faithful, crushing performance of 16 classics by a band that is somehow still in its prime. It's impossible to choose a favorite track from this MASTERPIECE. PKMetal
